TAGGR

I was the first UX designer on the app Taggr, formerly PostAR. Taggr allows users to pin digital notes in the real world. It’s like attaching a floating post-it note in the air that can include text, audio, pictures, gifs and videos. I worked with the founder to identify fundamental user needs, create all original flows and designs and manage a remote engineering team through to first public release. You can see a demo here. I also helped design the company’s website.

Designing the navigation was a particularly exciting aspect of this project. We had to design the notes so they could be visible from across a room and then lead people to them (at the time you couldn’t pin objects to vertical planes in ARKit, so this was a challenge). It was the first time I’d integrated wayfinding concepts I’d learned while working in architecture into augmented reality.

The app is available for download in the app store. (Note: some other great designers have worked on this throughout the last year - so final product shows updated designs.)

CALLEJON BREWING

A friend of mine lives in the Dominican Republic and brews beers. I helped him create the branding and various collateral for a few different types of his beer. He wanted the designs to reflect the community of the small town he lives in, El Callejon. He provided great guidance with example palettes, pictures and detailed descriptions of the vibe of the town that he loved so much. He had also spent DAYS creating the logo with thousands of small lines overlapped in Microsoft Word! Makes me so happy I have design programs :) The best part is - I get free beer for life.
